CAZ Forms a Cyber Secutity Interim Working Group PDF Print E-mail

The Communications Authority of Zambia has formed a Cyber  Security Interim Working Group, which will spearhead Cyber Security  issues in the country as per the resolutions of a regional ITU Meeting. 

Among the issues it will look at are:

  • Main challenges faced by countries in the region in developing frameworks for Cyber Security and Critical Information Infrastructure Protection (CIIP)
  • Sensitize the public and all other ICT stakeholders about activities being carried out by ITU and other ICT and security entities
  • Promote Cyber Cecurity Culture
  • Nationa Cyber Security Strategy
  • Legal Foundation and Enforcement
  • Monitor and Manage e-applications.

The working group was formed after a workshop in Chisamba, from 25th to 28th August, 2008.
