CAZ Forms a Cyber Secutity Interim Working Group

The Communications Authority of Zambia has formed a Cyber Security Interim Working Group, which will spearhead Cyber Security issues in the country as per the resolutions of a regional ITU Meeting. Among the issues it will look at are: Main challenges faced by countries in the region in developing frameworks for Cyber Security and Critical Information Infrastructure Protection (CIIP) Sensitize the public and all other ICT stakeholders about activities being carried out by ITU and other ICT and security entities Promote Cyber Cecurity Culture Nationa Cyber Security Strategy Legal Foundation and Enforcement Monitor and Manage e-applications. The working group was formed after a workshop in Chisamba, from 25th to 28th August, 2008. For more information, log on to CAZ news.
