eBrain Structure

A NON-GOVERNMENTAL organisation (NGO) has bemoaned the low utilisation of information communication and technology (ICT) in Zambia’s health centres.

Ebrain is a national forum bringing together stakeholders from across the country who are interested in ICT4D in Zambia. It operates under the following structure:

CHAPTERS

Currently ebrain chapters have been established in the following regions:

Lusaka Province

Copperbelt Province

The Copperbelt Chapter was established in early 2003 and has carried out a number of activities since its establishment. However, the chapter has not been as active as the Lusaka chapter due to resource constraints.

The chapter is headed by Mr. Sheba Mwala of Copperbelt University. The chapter management team has expressed interest in exploring ways of partnering with interested donors to help revamp the chapter.

Southern Province

The Southern Chapter was established in 2004 by interested stakeholders based in the southern province of Zambia. It is headed by Mrs. Rosemary Muyangwa from the Ministry of Education.

In the recent past, the Southern Chapter has not been very active and this has  been  a  source of  concern  to  the  National Management  Team.
