The August monthly meeting was held on the 30th of August at Lusaka Hotel on Cairo road. The conference room that was assigned for the meeting was filled to capacity as members and the general public turned up in numbers.
The topic of discussion, "Zesco optic fibre network - consumer benefits" had generated a lot of interest as both end-users of ICTs and service providers wanted to know if costs of access will come down.
Mr. Sitwala Nanga'elelwa, Project Manager on the ZESCO optic fibre project, gave a detailed presentation which was followed by a presentation from Partson Siamaundu from CEC. The two presentations generated a number of questions from an enthusiatic audience which included students from Evelyn college and IT professionals from various institutions.
